Other Summer Fun: 4th of July in Beaufort

The boys had a great 4th of July in Beaufort, visiting Kevin's family. On our drive down we stopped in New Bern to meet our newest cousin, Garret Thomas Pait! "Other summer fun" at the Sadler's included:

• playing with Eli


• playing in the sand box & on the teeter totter


• playing wiffleball and kick ball


• riding the Segways


• sleeping in the camper

Noah: On July 2nd I went to my grandma's house in Beaufort. I played with Eli, I rode on the mule, I watched TV, and I also rode on the Segway. On July 4th Nathan, Daddy, Uncle Jeffery, Grandaddy Gerry, and I went fishing on a boat. We were on the boat and we went really fast. I like going fast. I caught a sea mullet, crocker, hog fish, and oyster toads. The total of fish I caught was 9 fish. I also saw an osprey nest. It was big, and there were two ospreys in it. I had fun fishing.

Nathan: When I was in Beaufort for sailing camp, we went to see the firework display. The first thing they used was what I thought to be a roman candle. Next they used the ones that fly really high up and explode with a HUGE BOOM. Then they used ones that look like ghosts that go up and twist and sound like whoooooooooooo!!!!!!! For the finale they shot up what seemed like 6000 at one time.
